1. Definitions
- Agreement — these Terms and Conditions, as updated from time to time.
- We / Us / Our / Samong — Samong, an online school for AI development based in Bangkok, Thailand.
- User / You — any person who accesses the website or enrols in a course.
- Service — the Samong website and any online courses made available through it.
- Content — all course materials, text, video, exercises, and other material made available through the Service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Samong website or enrolling in a course, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and that you agree to these Terms in full.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service or enrol in any course.
3. Service Description
Samong provides online, self-paced courses in AI development, including machine learning foundations, model deployment and MLOps, and natural language processing. Courses are delivered through our online platform and are accessible to enrolled learners for the duration specified at enrolment.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen technical issues may cause temporary unavailability, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance when possible.
4. User Accounts
Enrolment in a course requires the creation of an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
Account credentials are personal and may not be shared with others. Each enrolment covers one individual learner.
5. User Responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information during registration and enrolment
- Use course materials for your own personal learning only
- Not reproduce, distribute, or resell course content in any form
- Not attempt to access course areas or materials you have not enrolled in
- Not engage in any conduct that disrupts the experience of other learners or the operation of the Service
- Comply with all applicable laws in your use of the Service
6. Intellectual Property
All content available through the Service — including course materials, exercises, videos, text, and design — is owned by Samong or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property law.
Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use course materials for your own personal, non-commercial study. This licence does not permit reproduction, redistribution, or publication of any materials, in whole or in part.
Any work you produce as part of a course exercise or project remains your own, but by submitting it for instructor review you grant Samong a limited right to view and comment on it for that purpose.
7. Payment Terms
Course fees are stated in Thai baht (฿) and are payable in full at the time of enrolment. Available payment methods are indicated at checkout.
Refund policy
If you request a refund within 7 days of enrolment and have not accessed more than 20% of the course materials, we will issue a full refund. After this period, or after more than 20% of materials have been accessed, refunds are not available.
To request a refund, contact [email protected] with your enrolment details.
8. Course-Specific Terms
Enrolment and access
Access to course materials begins upon confirmed payment. Materials are available online for the period stated in the course description.
Completion requirements
A completion certificate is issued once all required exercises and project submissions have been completed and reviewed by an instructor. Merely accessing materials does not constitute course completion.
Academic integrity
All submitted work must be your own. Submitting work produced by others, or substantially copying material from outside sources without acknowledgement, is a breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension without refund.
Certificate validity
Completion certificates are issued as a record of your engagement with and completion of the specific course. They do not carry formal academic accreditation.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is". While we take care with the quality and accuracy of course materials, we do not make any representation that completing a course will lead to specific career outcomes, employment, or technical proficiency at any particular level. Learning outcomes depend on the individual learner's effort and prior knowledge.
Course materials do not constitute professional advice of any kind. Any application of concepts covered in a course to professional or commercial work is at the learner's own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, Samong's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course to which the claim relates.
Samong is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, loss of income, or loss of opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Samong harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, particularly in cases involving misuse of course materials, account sharing, or academic dishonesty. In such cases, paid fees will not be refunded.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Closure does not entitle you to a refund outside the refund policy set out in Section 7.
Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination of these Terms.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be addressed through direct communication with Samong. If the matter is not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer it to the courts of Bangkok, Thailand, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Samong in relation to the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. If you continue to use the Service after updated Terms are posted, you accept the updated Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled learners directly.
